Can OPUS Help You Navigate a Love Hotel?

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Imagine arriving at a Japanese love hotel and not finding a familiar front desk, or seeing instructions you cannot read. If it is your first time, that uncertainty is understandable.

Ask before making a hotel booking

You do not need to study Japan’s love hotel procedures on your own before approaching OPUS. Even if you have no hotel in mind, tell us your destination and preferred date. We can explain the relevant practical details in stages.

A woman reviews an illustrated brochure with another person in a dark-toned Japanese-themed guestroom with floral wall art and a made bed; a tablet or electronic folder is visible at the counter.

Short-stay rates, overnight rates, advance payment and automated checkout vary by property. Something easy for a regular visitor may be completely new to you; you should feel comfortable asking what any unfamiliar term means.

What we can help with—and what a hotel decides

We welcome questions about the proposed meeting location. However, we cannot universally promise to book rooms on your behalf or guarantee a particular hotel’s availability. Each property sets its own rates, occupancy rules and check-in procedures. We will explain where you can obtain a definitive answer.

There is no need to work it all out alone

You are visiting a different country. Please do not feel embarrassed about having questions; helping you understand the process is part of why we are here.

A First-Timer’s Guide to Japanese Love Hotels

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

You may have heard of Japan’s love hotels without knowing how they work. Their unfamiliar layout and procedures can feel intimidating to an overseas visitor.

How are they different from ordinary hotels?

Some love hotels offer kyūkei, a shorter room stay, as well as shukuhaku, an overnight stay. Some have room-selection panels or automated payment machines. Others operate differently. There is no single set of arrangements that applies everywhere.

A woman and a receptionist exchange a small card across the counter in a dark-toned Japanese-themed guestroom with floral wall art and a made bed; a small dark card is visible between their hands. The woman wears a soft cream-colored blouse.

You can ask us basic questions before deciding on a hotel. What does a short stay mean? Is information available in another language? There is no need to have all the answers in advance.

You may contact us before choosing a property

“I’m staying around Shinjuku but don’t know where to begin” is a useful starting point. Tell us the area and time you have in mind. We can explain what OPUS can advise on, and what must be confirmed with the hotel itself, including room availability, charges and rules.

A room may look lovely in photographs yet have a stay period that does not suit your OPUS course. We particularly want to make those timing and price differences understandable.

Let unfamiliar culture feel interesting, not frightening

You do not need expert knowledge of Japan’s hotels to contact us. Questions are welcome.

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Work, family and other responsibilities can make life feel full of expectations. During a visit to Japan, you might want a little time that belongs only to you.

A moment away from titles and roles

You need no elaborate explanation for wanting a private experience. OPUS does not ask for your real name or a separate phone number in an initial inquiry. We focus on the atmosphere you want, not unnecessary details about your life.

Perhaps you prefer no photographs, communication by message or a quiet setting. Tell us, and we will explain which arrangements are possible.

    Quiet preferences matter, too

Some guests do not know how to describe what they want. Others feel shy about meeting someone new. We want to listen rather than expect you to entertain or impress anyone.

External communications, payment transactions and hotel systems may retain their own records. We will explain what we can establish rather than promise complete erasure.

A space for your own time

You may rediscover a different, more relaxed side of yourself while travelling. We hope to welcome that possibility with care.

  • Why OPUS Requests Only Essential Personal Information

Why OPUS Requests Only Essential Personal Information

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Thoughtful service does not begin by finding out everything about a guest. Sometimes it begins by not asking questions that are unnecessary.

We begin with what you hope for

For an initial inquiry, we focus on your dates, area, number of guests, preferred course and questions. We do not require a real name or separate phone number at that stage. You do not need to explain where you live or who shares your home.

A woman writes on a document at the hotel counter at a polished hotel reception desk beside a landscaped Japanese courtyard; a dark folder lies open on the desk.

Travelling internationally already involves providing documents to airlines and hotels. Contacting OPUS should not mean preparing another bundle of personal paperwork.

When information is needed, the reason matters

Certain hotels and payment services may have their own identity checks. These are distinct from OPUS’s initial inquiry. If a detail is needed for a particular procedure, it should be clear who needs it and why. You are welcome to ask.

Limited collection is not the same as no records

Actual storage and data practices should be explained through the applicable privacy policy. We do not want “we ask for little” to be mistaken for a promise that nothing will be recorded.

A woman speaks face to face with hotel reception staff at a polished hotel reception desk beside a landscaped Japanese courtyard; a tablet or electronic folder is visible at the counter.

Respect includes knowing when not to ask

We value what you choose to share—and respect what you prefer to keep private.

  • Keeping Your Time Together Private in Japan

Keeping Your Time Together Private in Japan

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

A special evening during your trip may be something you would rather keep to yourself. We understand that your time belongs to you.

We respect the boundaries of your personal life

We focus on the practical information needed for the service and on your preferences. You need not explain your professional or family circumstances. If you prefer messages rather than calls, or discreet communication, tell us and we will explain the options available.

A seated woman smiles while holding a sparkling-wine glass in a warmly lit guest suite beside a landscaped Japanese garden; a tall glass and small flowers are arranged on the table.

We cannot promise that no record will ever exist. Messaging services, payment providers and hotels keep information according to their own systems and policies. We will distinguish what OPUS can explain from what external organizations control.

It is reasonable to ask which records may remain

A payment statement, a phone notification and a hotel’s guest records are different matters. Tell us what concerns you so we can answer the relevant question clearly. We will not offer an ungrounded “absolute guarantee.”

You do not owe us an explanation

You have a life outside this experience. Handling the time you choose to spend privately with respect is part of our idea of hospitality.

  • Can You Inquire Without Giving Your Real Name?

Can You Inquire Without Giving Your Real Name?

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

You may be curious about a private experience in Japan yet hesitant to share your real name at the very beginning. OPUS understands that feeling.

No real name or separate phone number for the first inquiry

“I’m thinking about a 120-minute booking in Tokyo next month.” A message like that is enough to begin. You do not need to decide how much of your personal life you wish to share. If your trip is still tentative, you may simply ask how the process works.

A woman speaks face to face with hotel reception staff at an elegant marble hotel reception with large floral arrangements; she holds a smartphone beside the desk.

We separate privacy from necessary procedures

A hotel or payment provider may require personal details for its own legitimate process. That does not mean OPUS requires all of that information when you first contact us. We aim to explain who is requesting information, why it is needed and at what stage.

If Japanese service customs are unfamiliar, ask us. You deserve understandable answers before choosing what to share.

We are interested in your wishes, not interrogating your life

You do not have to discuss your work, family or living situation simply to explore a booking. What matters to us is how you would like to spend your time and what arrangements are possible.

A woman speaks face to face with hotel reception staff at an elegant marble hotel reception with large floral arrangements; a tablet or electronic folder is visible at the counter. The woman wears a warm brown jacket over a light top.

    Trust can develop gradually

There is no need to disclose everything to someone you have never met. Begin with what feels comfortable.

  • Can You Book OPUS Without a Passport?

Can You Book OPUS Without a Passport?

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

When you are abroad, being asked to send a photograph of your passport may feel unsettling. It is an important document, and you deserve to know why anyone needs it.

OPUS does not request a passport for its booking process

Our policy is not to require presentation of a passport for an OPUS reservation. You may begin by telling us the date, area and number of guests. There is no need to prepare a passport image for your initial message.

A woman speaks face to face with hotel reception staff at an elegant marble hotel reception with large floral arrangements; a wheeled travel case is beside her. A pale tailored coat hangs from the woman's shoulders.

    A hotel’s requirements are separate

Hotels in Japan may request identification from guests, depending on their nationality, residence status and other applicable rules. Those are hotel check-in procedures, not a requirement to send your passport photograph to OPUS.

If a hotel asks for something you do not understand, you can ask us to explain the distinction. We cannot waive a hotel’s legal or administrative requirements, but we can help prevent confusion between the two processes.

    Personal information deserves care

You do not need to provide your real name or a separate phone number for an initial OPUS inquiry either. If another service provider requires information at a later stage, its purpose and recipient should be made clear.

A woman and a receptionist exchange a small card across the counter at a polished hotel reception desk beside a landscaped Japanese courtyard; a small dark card is visible between their hands.

    Ask before sending

Not knowing Japan’s procedures is nothing to apologize for. Please ask us when something is unclear, especially before sharing sensitive documents.

  • 120, 180 or 240 Minutes? Choosing Your OPUS Course

120, 180 or 240 Minutes? Choosing Your OPUS Course

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

When you are meeting a Japanese companion for the first time, it can be difficult to imagine how long two hours will feel. OPUS offers three basic durations. The prices below are for one international female guest.

120 minutes | Space for a first meeting

¥80,000. This is the starting course. Picture the first greeting, a little nervous laughter, and conversation gradually becoming easier. You do not have to fill every minute with a planned activity.

A seated woman holds a ceramic teacup and looks toward the view beside a stone-lined outdoor pool with flowing water and greenery; a ceramic cup or teapot completes the quiet table setting.

180 minutes | Time to enjoy the atmosphere

¥140,000. If you are considering a meal or some travelling between locations, additional time may appeal to you. Whether meals, outings or particular venues are possible depends on the agreed service and circumstances. We can explain what can be arranged.

240 minutes | A more leisurely Japanese evening

¥180,000. This may suit a woman who wants to enjoy the conversation and setting without continually checking the clock. More time is not automatically the best choice; your comfort matters most.

A seated woman holds a ceramic teacup and looks toward the view beside a stone-lined outdoor pool with flowing water and greenery; a low waterfall runs behind the bathing area.

    Unsure? Ask us

You can simply say, “It is my first time and I don’t know which to choose.” Tell us your travel dates and the mood you hope for, and we will explain the options. Separate prices apply when two international female guests book together. Applicable travel expenses and hotel charges will be identified separately.

    Your time, at your pace

Whichever duration you consider, this is your experience. We can begin by talking through the possibilities.

  • How to Inquire About OPUS via WhatsApp

How to Inquire About OPUS via WhatsApp

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Calling an unfamiliar number in Japan can feel daunting, especially if you do not speak Japanese. Using a familiar messaging app can make the first step gentler.

    You can begin with “Hello”

Our official WhatsApp contact is https://wa.me/817023653390. You can ask questions even if you are not ready to book. “I’m visiting Japan,” “Could you explain the prices?” or “I don’t speak Japanese” are all fine. There is no need for a long introduction or personal documents.

A woman looks down and uses her smartphone inside a bright Japanese café looking out onto traditional roofs and trees; a cup and saucer sit within reach.

If you know the date, city and number of women, you might write: “Tokyo / November 12 / one woman / 120 minutes.” Leave undecided details undecided. We can explain what information is helpful next.

There is no need to rush after our reply

We may suggest dates, companions, fees and the terms required to confirm a reservation. If something is unclear, ask again. An exchange of WhatsApp messages is not itself a confirmed booking; you can simply say that you are still considering your options.

Response times and the languages available with individual companions vary, so contacting us ahead of your trip is helpful.

Your first message does not need sensitive information

OPUS does not require your real name or a separate telephone number for the initial inquiry. You need not include a passport image or hotel room number. If a hotel or payment provider has its own information requirements, we will distinguish their purpose from our inquiry process.

A woman rests her cheek on one hand beside her smartphone inside a bright Japanese café looking out onto traditional roofs and trees; a small plated dessert and teacup sit on the table.

A message in your own words

“I’m interested, but still thinking about it.” That is more than enough to open a conversation. We look forward to hearing from you.

  • Hotel Costs and Extra Fees: What to Confirm

Hotel Costs and Extra Fees: What to Confirm

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Unexpected expenses can make any trip stressful. Japan’s short-stay hotel rates and different weekend prices are not always easy to understand from a travel guide.

Course fees and hotel fees are different

For one international female guest, the basic OPUS courses cost ¥80,000 for 120 minutes, ¥140,000 for 180 minutes and ¥180,000 for 240 minutes. A room or hotel facility may charge separately, depending on its location, schedule and rules. We will explain what is included in our price and what may need to be paid elsewhere.

A woman holds a payment-sized card while reading an open booklet in a daylight-filled hotel bedroom facing a city skyline; a wheeled travel case is beside her.

If you are wondering what a Japanese love hotel’s “rest” rate means, or whether your current hotel allows a visitor, you are welcome to ask. Hotels do not all operate in the same way, and their individual terms remain under their control.

We want to avoid unpleasant surprises

A 120-minute OPUS course does not necessarily mean a hotel room can be booked for exactly 120 minutes: entering, preparing and leaving may take additional time. Some hotels charge for overstaying their own room-use period. We aim to explain such differences before they become a surprise.

Tell us your intended date and area. We can distinguish the charges we can establish from amounts the hotel must confirm.

You can ask before choosing a hotel

You do not have to finish your accommodation search before contacting us. Knowing the area is enough to start discussing the practical steps.

A woman examines a folder or documents with reception staff at an elegant marble hotel reception with large floral arrangements; a dark handbag is visible beside her.

    Asking twice is welcome

A clear response about money is part of our responsibility. Please do not worry about asking another question.
