    CHAPTER 05 / 05

Perhaps it is the time we are not having sex that has such a hold on us.

    OPUS · NEWS & VOICE

Throughout this series, we have been thinking about sex.

But at the end, something rather curious comes into view.

Much of what we have explored in these chapters is actually not about what happens while we are having sex.

    What we imagine beforehand.

    Wanting someone.

    Hoping we might be chosen.

Feeling lonely after being turned down.

    Remembering it afterward.

    Wanting to have sex again.

Seen that way, what moves us for so much of our lives may be

not sex itself, but the time we are not having sex.

    Sex has a ‘before’

    You arrange to meet someone.

The meeting is still days away, but you already look forward to it.

    You choose what to wear.

You take a little extra care of your body.

You think about what you might talk about.

You imagine the possibility of sex, even before knowing whether it will happen.

Or you might fantasize about sex with someone you have never met.

You might create a story in your mind while masturbating.

Not a single second of actual sex has taken place.

Yet your feelings are already moving.

In other words, we can imagine a sexual experience that does not yet exist and let that future shape how we feel in the present.

That seems a rather remarkable ability.

    And there is an ‘after’

When sex ends, everything does not simply disappear.

You remember the pleasure of that time.

You remember what the other person said.

Sometimes a feeling of fulfillment remains.

Sometimes you wish you could stay together longer.

At other times, you feel lonely without quite knowing why.

You may feel, ‘That wasn’t what I had imagined.’

The intensity of an orgasm alone cannot explain these differences.

Sex becomes an experience that includes how we feel after it is over.

That is how a brief encounter becomes a memory.

And sex remembered can become the desire that comes next.

    ‘I want that time again.’

Sometimes that is what we think.

    Or perhaps,

‘Next time, I want something a little different.’

We may feel that way too.

Experience shapes our next act of imagination.

    BEFORE / DURING / AFTER

Let us divide these five chapters into three periods of time.

    BEFORE

Imagining. Anticipating. Looking for someone. Choosing. Wanting to be chosen.

    DURING

Touching. Becoming aroused. Feeling your body. Feeling intimacy. Sometimes having an orgasm.

    AFTER

Feeling satisfied. Remembering. Feeling at ease. Feeling lonely. Wanting it again.

Sex itself occupies only the middle.

But the sexual experience extends far beyond it, into the time before and after.

Perhaps this brings us a little closer to answering our first question.

Why does sex have such a hold on us when it occupies so little of our lives?

Perhaps it is not simply because we are chasing a moment of pleasure.

What a service for women reveals about this question

Finally, let us consider this question from where we at OPUS stand.

There is something rather distinctive about a sexual service for women.

A woman chooses a man of her own free will and pays for time spent with him.

Looking only at that fact, it would be easy to call it

‘a service for women who want sex.’

That would be a simple explanation.

But it would also leave things out of view.

If orgasm were all that mattered, masturbation would be another option.

If romance itself were the goal, there would be the option of a romantic relationship.

If it were only conversation, time with a friend could offer that too.

And yet some women want to choose intimate time with a man who is not their partner.

What is there in that choice?

Wanting to touch a man’s body.

    Wanting to be touched.

    Wanting to enjoy sex.

Wanting someone to give you thoughtful attention.

Wanting time that feels different from everyday life.

Enjoying being treated as a woman.

Wanting intimacy just for that time, without bringing a romance or a shared life into it.

Of course, women do not all have the same reasons.

If anything, we feel that it is only natural for each woman’s reasons to be different.

‘I want sex’ was never just one desire

In Chapter 1, we considered the thought:

Would life have been simpler if we had never needed sex?

    That was where we began.

In Chapter 2, we thought about the brief pleasure of orgasm and the much longer time spent wanting.

In Chapter 3, we explored why sex cannot happen alone: another person’s consent, choosing, and being chosen.

In Chapter 4, we considered how pleasure, intimacy, affection, recognition, self-affirmation, release, and other feelings may overlap within ‘I want sex.’

And what finally comes into view is perhaps this.

Sex does not have such a hold on us because it is a single desire.

Perhaps it is because we entrust so many different desires to that one word: sex.

That may be why something so brief can reach so far into our lives.

We can imagine sex that has not happened yet.

We can remember sex that is over.

We remember being wanted by someone.

We remember the warmth of a body touching ours.

And one day, we want someone again.

It is a moment, yet it does not end in that moment.

Perhaps that is what sex is for us as human beings.

    And if the feeling

    ‘I want sex’

arises in you, there is no need to rush into feeling ashamed.

You might gently ask yourself what lies beneath it.

    Do I want an orgasm?

Do I miss the warmth of another person?

Do I want someone to desire me?

Do I simply want a little distance from everyday life?

There can be more than one answer.

It is all right not to know the answer yet.

Trying to understand your own desires is one way of treating yourself with care.

We hope OPUS can be a place where you feel at ease acknowledging those feelings.

    CHAPTER 07 / 07

    Reassurance is about more
    than those 120 minutes.

A woman in her forties choosing her own time, spending, relationships, and privacy | OPUS TOKYO

When you hear the word ‘reassurance,’ you may think first of being safe during the time you spend together.

    Of course, that matters too.

    But at OPUS, reassurance
    extends beyond those 120 minutes.

    Your time. Your money.
    Your relationships. Your privacy.

Choosing our companions carefully and establishing clear service rules are important ways to help women feel at ease.

But that is not the whole of what reassurance means to OPUS.

Time Use the service when you want to, and leave it when you don’t.
Money Review the price in advance. In principle, each booking is a separate, one-time commitment.
Relationships No exchange of personal contact details with your companion, and no expectation that the relationship continues between meetings.
Privacy Keep the time you book as separate as possible from your everyday life.
You can choose when to begin,
and when to bring it to a close.

That, too, is part of what OPUS means by reassurance.

    After your time together,
    your everyday life continues.

The service is not only about the 120 minutes you spend together.

After that time, you still have your work.

    Your home life.

    Time with your friends.

The ordinary moments you spend on your own.

Using OPUS should not make the everyday life you value more complicated than it needs to be.

We want your experience with OPUS to leave that important everyday life no more complicated than necessary.

And we hope you will think of us again only when you feel you want to.

Not only the time you spend together,
but what comes before and after it.

OPUS values an experience that respects those boundaries as well as the time itself.

    You want to.
You don’t have to take the long way around that feeling.

Not just anyone will do. But wanting someone does not necessarily mean wanting a new relationship.

On a day when it feels right, you can choose time for yourself.

    CHAPTER 03 / 03

Meeting your companion: first conversation, 120 minutes and departure

What should you do when meeting your companion for the first time?We explain the day’s flow, from greetings through a standard 120-minute course, communicating your wishes and leaving the hotel.

    AT A GLANCE

Start here: greetings and conversation are enough to begin

You do not need to begin anything sexual as soon as your companion arrives.

At OPUS, greetings and conversation help establish your preferences and how to spend the time. You do not have to prepare every topic or direct the entire conversation yourself.

Even if you want to have sex or are interested in intimacy that masturbation alone does not provide, it can be hard to imagine a first meeting. Here we explain what happens after opening the hotel room door and how the time can end.

    POINT 01

STEP 1 | What should you say when you open the door?

“Good evening” or “It’s nice to meet you” is enough. You can begin with ordinary topics: finding the hotel, choosing a drink or the kind of mood you would like for the evening.

OPUS’s standard 120-minute guide gives an example that begins with conversation to get to know each other. You do not need to explain detailed sexual preferences immediately. Saying “I’m a little nervous” is a natural part of that conversation too.

Your first greeting“Good evening” or “Nice to meet you” is enough.
If you run out of topicsStart with your day, interests or the atmosphere you would like.
If you feel nervousYou can say, “This is my first time, so I’m a little nervous.”
What remains undecidedYou can discuss it while checking how you feel on the day.
A woman sitting opposite her male companion in a hotel room, with his face not clearly shown
You don’t need to know just what to say at first.
    POINT 02

STEP 2 | How can a standard 120 minutes unfold?

OPUS’s “standard 120 minutes” is not a fixed program that everyone must follow in the same order. The official guide presents the following as one possible way to spend the time.

    1. Begin with conversation: Exchange greetings and chat about how you feel today.
    2. Discuss physical closeness: Check your wishes about holding hands, sitting together or considering a bath.
    3. Choose intimate time: Discuss available sensual services with your wishes and consent confirmed.
    4. Prepare to finish: Leave time for getting ready and saying goodbye as the end approaches.

Wanting sex and the specific services OPUS can provide are different things. You can confirm the scope and availability of services before booking. If you have a particular wish about an activity or how to spend the time, ask clearly.

    POINT 03

STEP 3 | If you cannot express your wishes or change your mind

You can start with a simple preference: “Please guide me gently,” “I’d like to talk for a while,” or “I’d like to hold hands first and then decide.” You do not have to explain everything at the beginning.

A sample message for sharing your wishes

This is my first time, so I’d like to begin with a little conversation. Once I feel more comfortable, may we discuss how to continue?

Your feelings may change during the meeting. You can say, “I’d like to stop here today” or “I’d like to go more slowly.” OPUS’s policy is to avoid intimate contact without consent and never treat silence as consent.

If you become interested in something after meeting, you can also discuss it within the available services. It is possible to spend the whole time talking without using intimate services.

    POINT 04

STEP 4 | The end time, saying goodbye and leaving the hotel

For a first experience, the ending can feel as unfamiliar as the first conversation. OPUS’s standard 120-minute guide gives an example in which your companion lets you know the time is nearing its end and leaves time to get ready.

Whether your companion leaves first or you leave the hotel together depends on the agreed arrangement and the hotel’s conditions. Follow the hotel’s rules on payment for the room, check-out time and re-entry.

Afterwards, you do not have to make your next booking on the spot. OPUS’s privacy policy states that contact is not initiated without your permission. You can ask in advance about communication and records left on your device.

A woman walking alone along a softly lit city street at night with a calm expression
The long part was getting to that unfamiliar moment.
    POINT 05

Frequently asked questions about meeting and departure

Do I have to do anything as soon as we meet?

No. You can start with greetings and conversation. OPUS checks your wishes and does not rush you into intimate time.

Can I change my sexual preferences on the day?

Yes. You can communicate changes or ask to stop at any time; silence is not treated as consent. The availability of a particular service still needs to be confirmed.

How do I leave when the time is over?

Get ready before the end and leave according to the hotel’s rules. You can also ask in advance how to say goodbye to your companion.

Chapter 2 of 3 | Do love hotels need reservations? Choosing a hotel and checking in for your first experience

    CHAPTER 02 / 03

Do love hotels need reservations? Choosing a hotel and checking in for your first experience

Do you have to reserve a love hotel in advance when using an adult service for women? Here we explain short stays versus overnight stays, business hotel conditions, check-in and meeting your companion.

    AT A GLANCE

Start here: a love hotel does not always require an advance reservation

Many love hotels allow you to choose an available room on the day.

However, reservations, short-stay hours, overnight rates and check-in procedures vary by hotel. Do not assume that every hotel requires a reservation, or that none ever do.

Arranging a hotel for an adult service for women may seem complicated. Separating the points to check makes it more manageable. Start by discussing your preferred companion and date, then check the hotel’s conditions.

    POINT 01

STEP 1 | What to check first at a love hotel

Look beyond the photographs: check when you intend to use the room and how check-in works. Japanese love hotels may offer “rest” (a short stay), “free time” (a stay within a specified time window) and overnight stays. Conditions depend on the day and time.

Rest / short stayA short room stay. Available hours and permitted duration vary by hotel.
Free time / time-window planA room-use plan valid within a specified time window; “free” does not mean free of charge.
Overnight stayUsually from evening to the next morning. Check when overnight check-in begins.
Advance reservationsSome hotels accept them and some do not. Room availability depends on the day.

For your first visit, check whether the hotel stay covers your OPUS course plus time for check-in and departure. Allow for possible waiting, getting ready to leave and transportation.

A woman checking hotel information on a laptop in a sunlit room
I thought love hotels had to be booked in advance.
    POINT 02

STEP 2 | Love hotel or business hotel: which should you choose?

If you are unfamiliar with love hotels, a business hotel like those used for work or travel may feel easier to navigate. OPUS does not limit arrangements to one type of hotel.

However, some business hotels prohibit people who are not registered guests from entering guest rooms. Check whether your companion is allowed into the room before reserving it. Follow the hotel’s rules on guest numbers, visiting hours and meeting in the lobby.

    A guide to choosing
Love hotels: some offer short stays and rooms selected on arrival.
Business hotels: familiar booking procedures may be easier to understand, but rules on outside visitors must be checked in advance.

Confirm the hotel price and any additional costs alongside your OPUS arrangements. This guide does not recommend using a hotel in a way that violates its rules.

    POINT 03

STEP 3 | The order of arrangements before the day

For a first booking, following this order can reduce changes later compared with arranging the hotel first.

    1. Your preferred companion and date: Discuss these with OPUS.
    2. Area and course duration: Confirm these details.
    3. Hotel options: Choose a possible hotel and check reservations, availability and room-entry rules.
    4. How to meet: Agree on a meeting arrangement and confirm costs, including the hotel.
    5. Contact on the day: Know how to reach OPUS before you set off.

You can inquire before knowing the hotel name or room number. Meeting near a station or hotel and going together may also be possible; agree on an arrangement that suits your preferences.

    POINT 04

STEP 4 | Checking in and sharing your room number

OPUS’s usage guide generally describes an arrangement in which you enter the room first, send the hotel name and room number, and welcome your companion. If you are unsure how to enter a love hotel, ask before going in.

    Sample message after check-in

I have checked in. I’m at [hotel name], room [number]. Thank you.

If you cannot enter, no rooms are available or check-in takes longer than expected, contact OPUS rather than rushing. Follow the agreed meeting plan, whether at the room, lobby or station.

A woman holding her handbag in a hotel room with a relieved expression
Once you’re inside the hotel, you’re already halfway there.
    POINT 05

    Frequently asked questions about hotels

Do I always need to reserve a love hotel?

No. Some hotels allow you to choose an available room without booking. Check each hotel’s reservation and entry procedures.

Can I use a business hotel?

It can be an option if your arrangements comply with its rules, including permission for visitors and the number of people using the room.

Can I enter the hotel with my companion?

OPUS also provides guidance on meeting near a station or hotel. Discuss a plan that follows the hotel’s rules in advance.

    CHAPTER 01 / 03

Your first inquiry about adult services for women: contact, booking and privacy

Not sure how to contact an adult service for women for the first time? This guide takes you from your first message on LINE or WhatsApp through personal information, the details to confirm and a confirmed booking.

    AT A GLANCE

Start here: your first message can simply be a question

“I’m new to this. Could you explain how it works?” is enough for your first message.

OPUS accepts inquiries without a commitment to book. You do not need to have chosen a companion, date, hotel or intimate preferences. Contacting OPUS and confirming a booking are separate stages.

You may be looking into adult services for women because you want to have sex or feel that masturbation does not fulfill your needs, yet still be unsure what to write. Here, we explain the steps from that first message to a confirmed booking.

    POINT 01

STEP 1 | What should your first message say?

Start by letting us know that you are considering a booking and asking about anything unclear. There is no need to explain every preference to someone you have not yet met.

What can remain undecidedYour companion, hotel and exactly how to spend your time
What you can share firstThat this is your first time, and the questions you have
Sample inquiry for LINE or WhatsApp

Hello. This would be my first time using an adult service for women. I’m considering a booking. May I ask a few questions about the booking process and choosing a hotel?

You can also be specific: “I’m considering an evening on [date]” or “Could you check [companion’s name]’s availability?” You do not have to decide to book before asking; the conversation can help you decide.

A woman considering what to write, with a smartphone and notebook on the table
What to write—that was the part I couldn’t figure out.
    POINT 02

STEP 2 | Do you need to give your real name, phone number or address?

According to OPUS’s official guidance, you can use your LINE display name for inquiries and booking; you do not need to give OPUS your legal name, personal phone number or home address. Your LINE display name does not have to be your legal name. If you use WhatsApp, your account phone number may be visible to the recipient; this differs from supplying an additional phone number as a booking requirement.

A hotel’s guest registration or identity checks are separate from your inquiry to OPUS. Please check and follow the hotel’s own requirements.

    Privacy points to check
It is also helpful to check the information left on your device or payment records, including message notifications, your lock screen, chat history and transaction statements. For OPUS’s confidentiality policy, see Safety, consent and privacy.

You do not need to describe your personal circumstances in detail in your first inquiry. Start with what you feel comfortable sharing, such as how you would like to spend your time or anything you would prefer to avoid.

    POINT 03

STEP 3 | Four details to decide before booking

When you move from an inquiry to a booking, confirm these four details. They do not all need to be settled in your first message.

    1. Your companion: Choose the man you would like to meet, or ask for help deciding.
    2. Date and time: Share your preferred date and, if possible, an alternative.
    3. Duration: The standard and shortest course is 120 minutes; 180 and 240 minutes are also available.
    4. Location: Choose a hotel or meeting point, or begin by asking about hotel options.

For example, you can say: “I’m thinking of Saturday evening, for 120 minutes, at a love hotel in Tokyo, but I haven’t chosen the hotel yet.”

Confirm the price and booking conditions too. For international guests, the basic courses are ¥80,000 for 120 minutes, ¥140,000 for 180 minutes and ¥180,000 for 240 minutes. Hotel costs, transportation and other applicable expenses should be confirmed before booking.

    POINT 04

STEP 4 | An inquiry and a confirmed booking are different stages

You may worry that sending a message immediately commits you to a booking. An inquiry alone does not confirm a reservation. OPUS checks the date, arrangements and costs; your booking is confirmed after you have checked the quoted total and completed advance payment.

Ask about payment methods during the consultation. Before deciding, confirm the service fee, transportation, hotel costs and any other necessary expenses or additional arrangements.

A woman gathering her thoughts beside a sunlit window, with a notebook and smartphone
An inquiry doesn’t have to be a life-changing decision.

Wanting to have sex does not mean you need to write detailed intimate wishes in your first message. OPUS provides private companionship for women and available sensual services; the word “sex” does not mean every sexual act is promised. Ask in advance whether a particular request can be accommodated.

    POINT 05

    Frequently asked questions

I have not decided to book. Can I just ask questions?

Yes. OPUS’s official guidance allows inquiries without a commitment to book. You can decide after reviewing the information.

Do I need to provide my legal name or personal phone number?

OPUS states that these are not required for inquiries and bookings through LINE. Hotel requirements are separate. On WhatsApp, your account phone number may be visible to the recipient.

Do I have to describe my sexual preferences in detail in writing?

No. Share only what you feel comfortable discussing. If you have a specific request, you can ask whether it is available.

Enjoying Time With a Male Companion Without Pressure

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

When considering a special experience abroad, you may feel it has to be perfect to justify the cost. But the loveliest moments rarely come from trying to perform perfectly.

You do not have to be good at “having fun”

You do not need an elaborate outfit, witty conversation or prescribed way of acting. Perhaps you want to talk quietly, accept a little attention or spend the time laughing. Your mood and preferences are a good place to start.

A seated woman holds a ceramic teacup and looks toward the view on a wooden inn terrace overlooking a rocky stream and wooded hills; a rocky stream and illuminated lodging buildings form the backdrop. The woman wears a light ivory knit top.

OPUS is somewhere women can ask about private time with a Japanese male companion. Even if you are unsure what you want, you can tell us how you feel.

Ask about Japan without having all the answers

“How do I choose a hotel?” “What if I don’t speak Japanese?” “What is the total cost?” These are exactly the kinds of questions we welcome. We do not expect you to become an expert in Japanese services before contacting us.

For one international female guest, basic course fees are ¥80,000 for 120 minutes, ¥140,000 for 180 minutes and ¥180,000 for 240 minutes. We will explain applicable separate charges and the service arrangements before you decide.

A moment to feel like yourself in Japan

You have travelled far enough; you do not need to spend this time trying to please everyone else. Bring your hopes, your nerves and even feelings you cannot quite name. OPUS aims to be a place where women can feel at ease acknowledging what they want.

Travelling in Japan can mean deciding everything for yourself: trains, restaurants, directions and the next destination. It is understandable if you sometimes wish someone would thoughtfully guide the evening.

“I would like to leave some of the planning to someone else”

Perhaps you hope your companion will begin the conversation, suggest how to spend your time or help create a relaxed atmosphere. “Taking the lead” can mean different things to different people.

A woman turns back while holding the hand of someone just outside the frame beside a Japanese-style pond with stone paths, plants and low lanterns; a dark handbag is visible beside her.

You need not describe your wishes perfectly. You might simply say, “I find it difficult to start conversations,” or “I would love to experience a Japanese-style evening together.” We can explain the companion’s available arrangements and what may be discussed in advance.

Thoughtful escorting still respects your preferences

Accepting someone’s suggestions is not the same as giving up your own choices. A welcome invitation leaves room for “I like that” or “That isn’t quite for me.” We value that balance.

If you are unfamiliar with Japanese streets, hotels or etiquette, you can ask us. You are allowed to enjoy being guided without being expected to know everything already.

The luxury of being cared for

Sometimes a change from making every decision is a pleasure in itself. We would be glad to hear what kind of evening you have in mind.

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

As the meeting time approaches, you might look in the mirror and suddenly feel nervous. Anticipation and uncertainty often arrive together before a special evening.

    You can arrive feeling nervous

Some people become comfortable with a stranger quickly; others need longer. You do not need rehearsed lines or a confident performance. It is fine to say, “I’m actually quite nervous.”

A woman speaks face to face with hotel reception staff at a polished hotel reception desk beside a landscaped Japanese courtyard; a wheeled travel case is beside her. The woman wears a light ivory knit top.

We aim to explain the time, place, course and fees during the inquiry so that unfamiliar arrangements do not become an unnecessary source of anxiety on the day.

There is no single way to behave

The meeting point and sequence of events depend on the agreed booking. We will not assume you already understand Japanese customs. And your feelings still matter when the meeting begins.

If you prefer a quieter atmosphere or something feels different from what you expected, you can say so. Mutual consent and the actual scope of the service guide the arrangements.

What Can You Talk About During 120 Minutes?

    OPUS TOKYO EDITORIAL

Two hours with someone you have never met may sound like a lot of conversation. You do not need to prepare a perfect collection of stories or questions.

Keeping the conversation going is not your job

The places you have visited, food you love or little discoveries from your trip can all open a conversation. And some days you may not want to talk much at all. We believe a guest should not have to work hard to entertain her companion.

A woman listens as a partly visible person discusses a photo brochure in a quiet hotel lounge with soft seating and garden greenery; a tall glass and small flowers are arranged on the table.

If you only speak English, feel shy or enjoy quiet time, tell us. Languages and communication methods are discussed individually. There is no need to pretend you are more outgoing than you feel.

    Silence can be comfortable

A cup of tea, a view from the window, a moment of laughter and a little quiet can all be part of a pleasant encounter. Constant conversation is not the measure of a good experience.

The 120-minute course for one international female guest is ¥80,000. It provides time to greet one another and find a comfortable rhythm. Specific activities depend on the agreed service scope.

You are here to enjoy, not perform

You do not need a clever opening line. We want to help create a setting where you can be yourself.
